Benefits of a Great Eye Makeup Remover

Let’s talk about eye make-up removers. This is the last week of December and since this is Lash Month. Thank you for sticking with me all the way through this month! This is a question I get a lot so I will get right to it!

Eye Makeup Remover

Benefits of a great eye makeup remover

  • It removes all dirt and make up on your lashes

  • Allows your eyes and lashes breathe

  • Allows for cell growth and eyelash renewal

  • Decreases any irritation that may cause your skin, including the delicate skin around your eyes from prematurely aging.

Steps to Removing Your Eye Makeup

  1. Be sure to wash your hands first

  2. Either use a soft make up remover wash cloth or cotton pad

  3. Lightly cleanse one eye at a time (Use a separate cotton pad or part of your washcloth to do so. You don’t want to transfer bacteria from one eye to the other.)

  4. Finish with a moisturizing eye creme.

Here is My Routine!

  • I like to start off with a make-up remover such as It Cosmetics Bye Bye Make Up Melting Balm or Clinique Rinse Off Eye Makeup Solvent. Whether you are using a balm or liquid it is most important to be gentle.

  • I continue this process until my eyes are clean and free of make-up. (As mentioned before, the skin around the eyes is extremely thin and delicate and any excessive pulling can cause premature aging and tearing of the skin.) The make-up melting balm will leave your skin soft and hydrated, looking younger and feeling free of day old make up.

  • After my eyelashes (and face) are clear of make-up and properly cleansed, I apply my eyelash serum. My favorite for eyelash growth and stimulation is Rodan and Fields Eyelash Serum. I apply it to the bases of my lashes and I are done, time to go to bed!

Are you having fun with your eyelash routine? That’s great! There is only a few more days until my December Eyelash Lift and Tint Special is over. You can still get in! Schedule at until December 31, 2018.
