Quick Tips for Luscious Lashes!
December is Lash Month
Now is the time to talk about getting those lashes ready for 2019!
Why is taking care of your eyelashes a “thing”? Eyelashes frame your face. If they are well maintained, they can make your eyes look open and bright. To keep your eyes from looking dull and tired, use these quick tips to care for your eyelashes. Let’s get our shine on!
Tip #1: Wash your makeup off every night
There is a host of benefits to this first tip. Among others, it’s about cleanliness and keeping infections out of your eyes. Your eyelashes keep debris out of your eyes. When you are wearing your eyeliner and mascara, the debris gets caught in it. Over time, bacteria can build up so it’s a good idea to make sure we get that stuff off every night! I like to use IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Make Up Cleansing Balm. I also use Clinique Take the Day Off. I start with these products since they are a bit heavier but do the job of taking off mascara.
Tip #2: Cleanse, tone and moisturize
My last blog post gave some awesome tips for skincare. This includes some great recommendations for your skin care routine! Hop on over there really quick, then come back!
Tip #3: Try to avoid waterproof mascara.
The only day to use this would be on your wedding day, otherwise it is too harsh and drying for your eyelashes.
Tip # 4: If you are wanting long, thick and nourished lashes, trying a serum is a great idea.
I currently use Rodan and Fields Enhancement Lash Boost. I use this nightly right before I go to bed, after I have cleansed my eyelashes and face. It is extremely easy to use. Apply with the brush that comes in the tube on the base of your eyelashes. And that is it. Done!
These are just a few quick tips for you and your eyelash health. As always, drink lots of water for your whole-body health.
Until next time,
